An alpha hero falls for the woman heâs sworn to take down in Amelia Autinâs latest Man on a Mission romance!
Help her. Thatâs all Niall Jones can think to do when his target almost panics. Undercover operative Niall is tracking suspected traitor Dr. Savannah Whitman, but when she comes under threat, he canât help but swoop in to save her. And the sparks that fly between the secret agent and Savannah are anything but covert.
After a personal tragedy, Savannah decided to depart her high-security defense job to live life to the fullest. But she never expected to meet a sexy, mysterious strangerâor for her very safety to be under siege...and enigmatic Niall is the only one who can protect her!
âA challenge?â Niall murmured. âI love a challenge.â
He would. Savannah didnât know how she knew that about him, but she did. He wasnât talking about carrying on a conversation with her, of course. She wasnât that naive. He was talking sex, plain and simple. She caught her breath, then shook her head. âI wonât be much of a challenge,â she said before she could think about how unwise it was to admit it.
He didnât move closer, but somehow it felt as if he had. And instead of that choked-up feeling that always overcame her whenever she feared she couldnât escape, this time her shortness of breath had nothing to do with fear and everything to do with excitement.
âYouâre no pushover,â he told her, that tantalizing smile in his eyes matching the one on his lips. âDamned if I know what you are, but I know that much.â
Kiss me and find out.

Man on a Mission: These heroes, working at home and overseas, will do anything for justice, honor...and love
Dear Reader,
When I wrote Cody Walkerâs Woman, I gave my heroine, Keira Jones, four brothersâall older, all former US Marines and all playing a role (good and bad) in shaping the woman she was.
Then I wrote Alecâs Royal Assignment, Liamâs Witness Protection and Killer Countdown, the stories of three of Keiraâs brothers. But Niallâthe second child of five, like meâwas elusive. All I really knew about him at that point was how Liam described his brother in Liamâs Witness Protectionâa onetime US Marine and now a black ops warrior. But that description alone captivated readers, who begged me for his story.
I fell in love with Niall when he showed up out of the blue in Killer Countdown to help his elder brother, Shane. Writing about Niall was easy after that, but I needed a woman to match him. All the Jones brothers except Niall had found exceptional women to loveâAngelina, Cate and Carly. How could Niall settle for anything less?
Enter the brilliant Dr. Savannah Whitman, quietly exceptional. Sheâs not looking for love, especially in the arms of a man who lives in the shadows. But Robert Herrick wrote hundreds of years ago, âHow Love came in, I do not know.â And neither do Niall and Savannah. Somehow, though, love creeps in on catlike feet when we least expect it, and Niall and Savannah are no exception in Black Ops Warrior.
I love hearing from my readers. Please e-mail me at [email protected] and let me know what you think.

Prologue
Niall Jonesâs life depended on him blending into the background wherever he was. Moving through the shadows as if he was a shadow himself. And no one was better at it. Others came close, but he was the best. Heâd lost track of how many disguises heâd donned. How many aliases heâd used. How many lives heâd led. When he assumed a role, he became the role. Until the next time.
Which was exactly what he was doing now. He watched his target through seemingly sleepy eyes, but he knew every breath she drew. Every rise and fall of slight breasts that wouldnât normally attract his attention. Her face, too, was unremarkable. Not unattractive, but not the kind of face that would automatically draw a second or a third glance.
