The sun was setting behind the horizon, painting the sky in the bright colors of sunset – orange, pink, purple. Golden reflections played on the waves, and the wind carried the salty air of the sea. On the deck of the “Black Dogs” hip, anchored in a quiet bay, sat the old Newfoundland Barbos.
His thick fur was pierced with silver strands, like sea foam, and on his muzzle there was a scar received in one of the stormy sea battles. Barbos’ deep brown eyes looked into the distance, full of sadness and longing for past times. He was the captain, but his loyal crew was missing.
– Where has everyone gone? – thought Barbos, scratching behind his ear with his paw, as if trying to disperse heavy thoughts. At that moment, a ringing barking voice was heard that cut through the silence of the evening:
– Barbos, captain, we are here!
Two nimble dogs ran onto the deck: Bim, a fiery Yorkshire terrier, with bright eyes and a cheerful character, and Thunder, a powerful Rottweiler with black, shiny fur, radiating calm strength.
– We will be your team! – Bim exclaimed, doing a forward somersault and landing with ease on his feet.
– And we will find treasures! – added Thunder, grabbing the pirate sword that was lying on the deck in his teeth.
Barbos smiled and his eyes shone with a mischievous sparkle. With such a team, he was not afraid of any adventures, no storms, no dangerous seas, no mysterious islands!
Chapter 2: The Mystery of the Sea Map
The captain’s cabin smelled of salt, old wood and something sweet, reminiscent of the smell of seafaring adventures. In the center of the room, on a massive oak table, stood an old chest. It was trimmed with dark leather, decorated with metal rivets, and on the lid there was a huge lock that looked like the mouth of a wolf’s head.
Barbos proudly led his new team members to the chest. Bim, the eternal fidget, impatiently spun around in place, and Grom carefully sniffed the wooden sides of the chest, as if checking if some dangerous animal was hiding there.
– Here it is, – said Barbos, opening the chest with the key inherited from the previous captain.
Inside lay a yellowed nautical map, as if faded by the sun and time. It depicted islands, ships, and… a black skull! The black skull, painted with bright paint, seemed to warn of mortal danger, but at the same time beckoned.
– This is a pirate map! – Bim exclaimed, looking at the map, and his eyes lit up with mischief. – There are treasures buried there!
– You just need to guess where they are hidden, – said Barbos, stroking his beard, which reflected the golden rays of the setting sun.
– I know! – Thunder shouted, eagerly looking for something special on the map. – There is a magical spring on Skull Island! The greatest treasures are buried there!
Barbos looked at the map. Indeed, Skull Island was marked on it, with a black skull on top.
– Let’s go sailing! – Barbos exclaimed, raising the anchor of the “Black Dog”, and the ship noisily set sail from the shore, rushing towards adventure.
Chapter 3: Journey to the Sea
“Black Dog” cut the waves like a huge whale, making its way through the endless expanses of the sea. Unlike the calm bay where they set sail, the sea was choppy, the waves rose and fell, splashing salt water, and the wind whistled through the sails as if telling ancient legends.
