The night sheâll never forgetâ¦is a night he canât remember
Audrey Thomas canât forget the night of passion she shared with Lucas Slade, the man sheâs loved for years. But it seems the sexy, superrich rancher has no clue who warmed his bed!
The mystery seductress at his Lake Tahoe retreat was Audrey? His best friendâs off-limits kid sister? Now sheâs back at Sunset Ranchâ¦and having his baby! Honor bound to do the right thing, Lucas never reckons sheâll say I wonât to his proposalâor that sheâll settle for nothing less than all this cowboy has to give.
Audrey took a step closer and faced him,
the lamps shining a golden, halo-like glow around her head.
She parted her sweet lips and her brown eyes darkened to a seductive shade. âYou donât want to leave.â
Slowly she reached behind and grabbed the ties of her halter top at the back of her neck. Fascinated and overwrought with desire, Luke couldnât utter a word. He couldnât tell her to stop. He couldnât tell her this was crazy. She was his mystery woman, and heâd secretly hoped to have a thrilling repeat of the night theyâd shared.
âI ran away from you once, Luke. That wonât happen again.â
Dear Reader,
Itâs Luke Sladeâs story this time in the series The Slades of Sunset Ranch, and heâs got himself in a pickle with a case of mistaken identity. Luke is a do-gooder, the man who always does the right thing, a hunky Mr. Nice Guy. (I know, I knowâ¦where can we find a guy like this in real life, right?) All his instincts tell him not to get involved with his good buddyâs little sis, and heâs pretty good at heeding his own advice.
But fate steps in and Luke now has a situation on his handsâ¦and her name is Audrey Faith Thomas. Sexy T-shirts, sex texting (now I bet I got your attention) and budding true love all play a role in this tale that asks the question: what if the perfect guy for you, the one you give your heart, soul and body to, doesnât know it was you under his sheets? See what happens when Luke Slade figures out Audreyâs secret in Sunset Seduction.
And while youâre reading, keep an eye on Kat Grady. Sheâs gonna drop a bombshell on returning military hero Justin Slade in the third book of The Slades of Sunset Ranch, coming this fall!
Happy reading!

Usually nothing much unnerved Audrey Faith Thomas, except for the time six months ago when her big brother was bucked off Old Stormy at an Amarillo rodeo and broke his back. He was tossed eight feet in the air and landed with a solid smack to the ground. Caseyâs injury was severe enough to have Audrey quitting veterinary school last semester to nurse him back to health.
Audrey shuddered at the memory and thanked the Almighty that Casey was alive and well and bossy as ever. But as she sat behind the wheel of her truck driving toward her fate, the fear coursing through her veins had nothing to do with Caseyâs disastrous five-second ride and resulting retirement from the rodeo. This fear was much different. It scared her silly and made her doubt herself. It made her want to turn her Chevy pickup truck around and go home to Reno and forget all about showing up at Sunset Ranch unannounced.
To face Lucas Slade.
The man sheâd seduced and then abandoned in the middle of the night.
Audrey swallowed hard and tried to reconcile her behavior. It wasnât working. She still couldnât believe what sheâd done and after repeating her motives a thousand times in her head, nothing much had changed.
Last month, after an argument and a three-week standoff with her brother, sheâd left her Reno home and ventured to his Lake Tahoe cabin to make amends. Heâd been right about the boyfriend sheâd just dumped, and sheâd needed Caseyâs strong shoulder to cry on. But once sheâd arrived, Casey was fast asleep on the couch and the last person sheâd expected to find sleeping in the guest room, on her bed, was Luke Sladeâthe man of her fantasies, the one sheâd measured every other man against. Luke was the guy sheâd crushed on during her teen years while traveling the rodeo circuit with Caseyâthe guy whoâd treated her with kindness and the same sort of brotherly love that Casey had.
