His game. Her rules.
Tyler Anderson is poised to take over the reins of his family-owned computer gaming company. But first he has to launch his latest invention. That means teaming up with self-made marketing consultant Iris Beharie, whose brash confidence and sizzling beauty are throwing the reserved computer designer off his game.
Landing the plum Anderson Adventures account could save Irisâs fledgling PR firm and prove to her skeptical siblings that she has what it takes to succeed. Too bad Tyler doesnât play well with others...except when he and Iris are alone. As the gorgeous gaming genius sheds his introverted image in the bedroom, things are heating up in the boardroom in the cutthroat fight for CEO. Amid distrust and treachery, is Ty ready to gamble everything on a love thatâs as real as it gets?
âCongratulations again.â Iris unbuckled her seat belt, preparing to climb from his car. âIâll see you Monday.â
âItâs been a month.â Tylerâs ebony eyes held her in place. âDo you ever even think about it?â
Her eyes widened. âThe kiss?â
Tylerâs gaze lowered briefly to her breasts before returning to her eyes. âIt was more than a kiss.â
An electric current arced between them. She couldnât be the only one who felt it. It was a very different type of tension from the one that had filled the car that morning.
âYes, Iâve thought about it.â Iâve thought about that night and the way you made me feel more than I should.
âRight now, I really wish I wasnât your client.â Tyler glared at her garage door through the windshield.
âBut you are.â
âWhy does that mean that I canât touch you? Or taste you?â he added.
Iris fought the sensual assault of his words. âI donât have personal relationships with clients.â
Tyler gave her a heated look. âIs that all I am to you, a client?â
Iris arched an eyebrow. âAm I more than a vendor to you?â
Tyler captured her left hand and held it to his chest under his jacket. âA vendorâs never made me feel like this.â
Dear Reader,
Several Christmases ago, my husband gifted me with The Supremesâ Greatest Hits CD. I love The Supremes, donât you? Listening to their songs over and overâand overâthat Christmas, I heard three distinct heroines: one whoâs open to love (âI Hear a Symphonyâ), one whoâs jaded (âNothing but Heartachesâ) and one whoâs too busy for love (âStoned Loveâ). At least thatâs my interpretation. For years, Iâve wanted to tell their stories. Today, I can finally introduce you to the Beharie sisters.
In The Love Game, Iris is looking for love. However, she doesnât realize love comes in its own time, which isnât always convenient. In fact, itâs often complicated. I hope you enjoy Iris and Tyler. Meanwhile, Iâm having fun writing Roseâs story. Rose has given up on loveâbut love wonât give up on Rose.
Enjoy!

Chapter 1
âYouâre not ready to take charge.â
Tyler Anderson had heard those words from his father before. In the past, heâd been disappointed and hurt. But this time, Foster Andersonâs certainty that Tyler wasnât ready to lead their family-owned computer gaming company fired him up.
âI disagree.â He locked gazes with his father, who was also his boss.
âAll right.â Foster settled back on his chair. A spark of interest brightened the ebony eyes Tyler had inherited. âConvince me.â
âIâve worked at Anderson Adventures for more than twenty years, since I was fifteen.â Tyler straightened, laying out his case with confidence. âIâve been around these offices, watching and learning what everyone does since I was eight. I know this company from the bottom up.â
âThatâs true.â Foster nodded. âYou know the companyâs operations.â
âIâve shadowed key people in every departmentâfinance, sales, human resources, information technology, customer service.â
His father was aware of the finance classes Tyler had taken. But no one could see the numbers as clearly as his cousin, Xavier Anderson, the companyâs vice president of finance. Foster also knew Tyler had made sales calls with Donovan Carroll, his college classmate and Anderson Adventuresâ vice president of sales.
