A sexy smirk flashed across his face before it was replaced with...apathy. âAvery,â he greeted.
âEl,â she replied, willing the warmth that had pooled in her belly away. âWhat are you doing here?â Avery gestured to the guard and waved him away. The burly six-foot-two man stepped back, giving her and El some space.
